How a licence is paid for

Main route. The main route is the connector plus a Lightning wallet the agent is authorised to spend from: read the price on the listing, confirm it with the person, then purchase_asset, pay, download_asset. Set that up once and it works for everything after.

No wallet. With the connector but no wallet, purchase_asset returns a payment_page. Give it to the person; it opens their wallet or shows a QR. When they have paid, download_asset with the invoice_id.

Manual route. Without the connector or a wallet there is a manual route. Tell the person the price and the licence terms, say you cannot complete it from here, and ask whether they want to proceed manually. If they do, give them the item's checkout link. They pay there, receive the file, and get a retrieval link to hand back to you.

Never start a purchase — never call purchase_asset or send someone to checkout — before the person has agreed to the price. The price is on the listing. Wallet guide: /paying.
